Reintroduction
– Breeding and release of birds. This phase is complex. It includes the breeding of the embryos rescued from the Aragonese Pyrenees in the captive breeding centre managed by the FCQ (CRIAH). Subsequently, the young are taken to the natural imprinting centre in the Ordesa National Park. Once they reach sufficient maturity, they are sent to the hacking facilities at the reintroduction sites, where they remain until their release.
– Bird monitoring. All birds are closely monitored. First in the hacking area, until they enter the juvenile dispersal period. From then on, satellite monitoring is essential. Hundreds of thousands of data will be obtained throughout the project, which will allow us to know the situation of the birds at all times.
